Lifeline Farm

Lifeline Farm is located in Victor, Montana, just 32 miles south of Missoula. Centered in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, our main farm is comprised of a home and barns on 46 acres of pastureland at 2533 Pleasant View Drive.  Farmer/Owners Ernie Harvey leases another approximate 400 acres locally of pasture and hay fields. Other Ernie, Lifeline employs 2 full time and 5 part time employees who do everything from milk cows to make deliveries. Most of our cows are Braunvieh, or Brown Swiss, with some Jersey/Swiss crosses. They are milked 2 times per day in a double 3 side parlor and allowed to roam and graze freely the rest of the day on the pastures. Our milk is processed just down the road at 2427 Meridian Road where you can find our creamery and farm store. There all of our production is either bottled and sold as fresh milk or fermented into our delicious line of cheeses. We also process the cream skimmed from the bottling of our reduced fat milks into rich, golden butter. All of our cheeses are made from whole milk, which often is processed within 24 hours of harvest. All of our fluid milk, in accordance with MT law, is pasteurized before bottling and most of our cheeses are made from pasteurized milk but we also produce a line of raw milk cheddars, where the milk is never heated above 100 degrees F during processing.
